Getting there

Nearest city: Changping, Beijing

  • By car: just over 30 km from central Beijing via the Beijing–Tibet, Beijing–Chengde or Beijing–Xinjiang expressways, about 40 minutes.
  • Metro and bus: take the Changping Line to Beishaowa, change to bus Chang 21 to the Yanfa Zhongxin stop, then follow the signs to the resort.

Where to stay

Close enough to Beijing for a day trip; the resort also has a youth hostel and mountain villas if you want to ski both day and night sessions.

Highlights

  • Just over 30 km from central Beijing, it is one of the closest resorts to the city, with both day and night sessions.
  • The No. 7 advanced run is 1,200 m long with a 247 m drop and a 35% average gradient, a real challenge by Beijing standards.
  • A dedicated teaching area of over 30,000 square meters with several magic carpets makes it easy for first-timers.

Tips

  • The runs face the sun, so late in the season the snow softens in the afternoon; go in the morning or at night.
  • Official day tickets include one set of basic rental gear; if you bring your own, buy the cheaper own-gear ticket.
